I'm fairly sure that the "password" that it's asking for is the "user 
password" that you don't have for "root".

So recreate your root entry in hfaxd, this time specify "-p password" 
and use that password when it says "Password"  Use the admin password 
when it says "Password" again.  Yes, it's a bit confusing.
