You could modify the /var/spool/hylafax/bin/notify script to NOT send 
notifications when this specific error is detected.

The notify script has a bunch of case statements for each type of error, 
should be able to get that done by simply commenting out some lines, or 
you could add your own 'if-then' for that specific case.
