[hylafax-users] False "Busy signal detected" error
Hylafax 4.2.1
Conexant HCF PCI modem + Linuxant's commercial driver version 1.07
SuSE Linux 9.1
Receiving has been working flawlessly for a few months.
But a recurring problem happens when we try to send a fax using Hylafax
1. "Busy signal detected" is reported when the remote line is NOT busy.
2. Hylafax requeues the fax and tries again.
3. Sometimes, after the 4th or 5th try, Hylafax manages to send the fax.
I can confirm that the remote fax line has been idle all the time! So why
does Hylafax reports a busy signal? And why it sometimes succeeds in
sending the fax after a few tries? This doesn't seem deterministic!
