Re: [hylafax-users] Cron and Crontab

Excuse me, but wha???

There are two lines below. In the instructions that are in two different
places we are told to enter these lines in the crontab file(wherever that
document lies). I was asking if one of these was incorrect or shouldn't be
used. My first question was in regards to the crontab file itself. Should I
use one that already exists on the box or create a new one with "crontab
-e". If the latter then where exactly does that file go? In my clumsy
stumbling attempts it appears to go into the /tmp directory, but a dir of
that directory doesn't show it.

Please excuse the ignorance. This is like learning DOS all over again. :)

Only the one with the correct user will receive an email. Installation will
create an alias, whatever the alias was needs to be the address you are
sending too.

Tony.

Also there seems to be two conflicting commands in the setup docs for
faxcron

25 23 * * *	sh /usr/local/sbin/faxcron | mail FaxMaster

0 0 * * * /usr/local/sbin/faxcron | mail -s "HylaFAX Usage Report"
faxmaster

Which one is the correct one to use?

Is there an existing crontab file to use or should a new one be created for
the faxqclean and faxcron proceses?
