I went to us robotics website and downloaded the update for the firmware for 
our modem.  Our model number is 00568600 and after we updated it.  I put it 
back on our server and started the faxgetty program with init and ever since 
then it has been working without a wedge error.  I hope this helps out others 
that have had the same problem.
