Unfortunately, there's nothing that HylaFAX can do here.


The modem tells us that we got an FCS (frame check) error - and that's not that unusual, but from that moment on we don't get any data at all until the line disconnects 45 seconds later.

So the interpreted explanation of what the log says is that in the middle of frame 47 we lost a signal from the other end and then a line disconnection was detected 45 seconds later.

Your guess is as good as mine as to what happened. You may want to ask the sender. If they don't know, then maybe there was a line problem. If that's unlikely, or if this is repeatable, then it may be something with the firmware on the modem.

You could try running Class 1 instead of Class 1.0 and see if the same kinds of "sudden disconnections" occur. If they do, then it's probably not the modem firmware (as V.34 will not be used with Class 1).
