[hylafax-users] cannot exec mailfax

Hylafax 4.2.1 - FreeBSD 5.3

I am trying to run mailfax from sendmail.cf.  I
specified...

Mfax,       P='/usr/local/lib/fax/mailfax', F=DFMhu, S=14, R=24,
            M='100000', T=X-Phone/X-FAX/X-Unix,
            A='mailfax $u $h $f'

...and when I send a test message "sendmail 5551212@xxxxxxxx"
I get a console message "SYSERR(root): Cannot exec '/usr/
local/lib/fax/mailfax': No such file or directory

mailfax does indeed exist in the said directory and was
755 although I tried 777 but couldn't see why it would
need it.  Nevertheless it still gives the same error message.
Tips?
