Hmm. So under usual circumstances, I presume that it's faxgetty which 
sends this message?

What's the conventional way to inform faxq of the modem's readiness on 
systems not running faxgetty? (Or is it advised that faxgetty be run 
even when it isn't intended that incoming calls be handled?)
