Re: [hylafax-users] Remote mail server....

I think I got the gist of how hylafax works. I just have a simple question.
Can I setup hylafax to work with a remote mailserver.
Either internet accessible (imap/pop3) or a similar pop3/imap setup on the
lan. I'd rather not have to setup another mail server just so hylafax can
email out notifications.

Hello Sam.
Well, i've hylafax in that way (i belive i understand your question). My
hylafax server is another server in the network and my mail server is
another machine.
my hylafax server as an alias in /etc/aliases and Faxmaster is my own
account witch hylafax redirects all the emails to me.
to send an email to the hylafax server to be faxed, i just have to do:
123456789.fax@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
if is this you want, all the solutions are in the hylafax site.
if you need i can give you some help, together with all the mailing list
users.
cheers,
Bruno Santos
