Re: [hylafax-users] Modem Configuration Tips

Hello

Was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to configuring the modem? I
keep getting "hmm something must be hung check your modem" error when using
probemodem.

FreeBSD 5.3 with latest Hylafax.

I've gotten lots of this kind of stuff from stty all the time whenever I used faxaddmodem or probemodem on any BSD variant. But in every case that I ever tried it was just noise... the modem ended up responding properly and the scripts handled the noise fine.

56k External modem connected on ttyd1 (comm 2)

I'm somewhat stumped, the faxes will make it into the que but not go
anywhere :(

Set ServerTracing to 0xFFF and then look at your server logs after you restart faxgetty. If they don't make sense to you, then send them here.
