[hylafax-users] Issue with finding libstd++ when compiling Hylafax.

Hi all,

I'm trying to compile Hylafax 4.2.1
under AIX 5.2 using gcc 3.3.2. I've seen the following error in the archives
but I was unable to find what the resolution was.

The error is that when I execute configure,
I get the following message

.......yada yada yada.....
............................................
Using /bin/bash to process command scripts.

Missing C++ runtime support for gcc
(/bin/gcc).

Compilation of the following test program
failed:

#include "iostream.h"
int main(){ cout << "Hello
World!" << endl; return 0;}
----------------------------------------------------------

Usually this is because you do not have
a standard C++ library
installed on your system or you have
installed it in a non-standard
location.  If you do not have a
C++ library installed, then you must
install it.  If it is installed
in a non-standard location, then you
should configure the compiler so that
it will automatically be found.

(For recent gcc releases this is libstdc++,
for older gcc - libg++)

I'm not getting the sed error that other
people seem to have been getting. I'm getting the missing C++ runtime support
and it is unable to find libstd++.
gcc is installed in a non-standard place
(Hey - wasn't me!) but a link from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib to the place
where libstd++ resides.

Any ideas ?
