Re: [hylafax-users] MT5634ZPX-PCI poll results

I downgraded our MT5634ZPX from 1.32i to 1.25p last week (thank you very
much, Steve, for your assistance with this).

However, our modems were/are "stuck" (not wedged) again this morning.
I still have one modem in a "stuck" state, and I would be glad to try any
diagnostics on this modem to see what it up with it.

I did not kill the faxgetty process to get the first stuck modem up and
running, as I had been doing in the past. Instead, I tried dialing the
number for this modem and let it ring many times (without an answer from the
modem), and then I tried to send a fax from the modem, and I received this
as the log:

Mar 28 08:48:51.61: [29859]: SESSION BEGIN 000001136 XXXXXXXXXXX
Mar 28 08:48:51.61: [29859]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.2.1
Mar 28 08:48:51.61: [29859]: SEND FAX: JOB 361 DEST XXXXXXXXXXX COMMID
000001136 DEVICE '/dev/ttyS1'
Mar 28 08:48:51.65: [29859]: <-- [14:AT+FCLASS=1.0\r]
Mar 28 08:48:51.77: [29859]: --> [2:OK]
Mar 28 08:48:51.77: [29859]: <-- [14:AT+F34=14,1,2\r]
Mar 28 08:48:51.88: [29859]: --> [2:OK]
Mar 28 08:48:51.94: [29859]: DIAL 9, XXXXXXXXXXX
Mar 28 08:48:51.94: [29859]: <-- [18:ATDT9, XXXXXXXXXXX\r]
Mar 28 08:48:52.06: [29859]: --> [5:ERROR]
Mar 28 08:48:52.06: [29859]: SEND FAILED: JOB 361 DEST XXXXXXXXXXX ERR
Invalid dialing command
Mar 28 08:48:52.06: [29859]: <-- [5:ATH0\r]
Mar 28 08:48:52.23: [29859]: --> [2:OK]
Mar 28 08:48:52.23: [29859]: SESSION END

After this failure, the modem/pid apparently snapped out of it, my test
phone call was answered, and I can send and receive OK with this modem,
without doing anything else to it.

This still leaves us with one stuck modem to troubleshoot. What action
would be most advantageous to try at this time on the modem to see what the
cause of its unresponsiveness is? Thank you all for your input.

See http://mtflashwiz.sourceforge.net

Also a special thanks to Bill Binko for doing the GNU packaging work. That
is in CVS not in the tar.gz that you can download.
