Re: [hylafax-users] minimum Hardware requirement

Hi Josh,

You indicated you are running on PC, does this mean Windows?
What version? W2K and up allow for performance counters
for processes and such, providing a historical view
of system resource use.

For real time viewing, try running task manager while faxes are receiving and sending on both lines.

That will give you an idea of what amount of resources is in use
during the processing.

If you have linux/unix on a PC, run 'top' for real time
viewing of resources being used by daemons and processes.

Best,

PKrash

Currently I am running Hylafax 4.2.1 on PC: one CPU 2.8 GHz and 512Mb memory
There are two software internal fax modems. Total faxes a day are about 400.

Is it OK or should I boost more CPU power or memory ?

Thanks,

Josh
