[hylafax-users] Modem wedged

I am using HylaFax v4.1.8 and 4.2.1 on RedHat 9.
Modems are internal PCI Winmodems:
two U.S. Robotics 56K PCI Faxmodem: USR5660A
two Hayes Accura PCI Softmodem

Both use driver: 6.03.00lnxt04011900full from Linuxant.com

Two systems are just in production a few days. Total faxes are about 400 a
day.

The problem is that modems are wedged all the time. Now reboot will
recovered it:
Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxSend[3336]: Unable to setup modem on
/dev/ttySHSF0; giving up after 2 attempts
Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxQueuer[3039]: MODEM /dev/ttySHSF0 appears to be
wedged
Mar 18 14:22:34 pcsfax2 FaxQueuer[3039]: MODEM WEDGED: bin/wedged "ttySHSF0"
"/dev/ttySHSF0"

[root@pcsfax2 root]# cu -l /dev/ttySHSF0
cu: /dev/ttySHSF0: Line in use

Is there any way to recover without reboot ? Or I need to use other modems ?

Thanks,

Josh
