Re: [hylafax-users] No carrier detected (ok to send test fax)

Test went out fine from here using a MultiTech MT5634ZBA-V92 with 1.32 (pre-release beta - before "a") firmware. It shouldn't make a difference, but I'm using recent HylaFAX CVS-HEAD.

According the output of ATI command, I have 1.32b (which I think is the latest firmware) installed on this modem...
LT V.92 1.0 MT5634ZBA-V92 Serial Data/Fax Modem Version 1.32b

I have hylafax version 4.2.0 running on Redhat Linux ES 3.0.

Are you using a PBX of sorts, by chance?
Nope. AFAIK, we dont have any PBX. We have two independent fax lines with two different numbers. One fax line is used by the fax machines. And the other fax line is used by the fax modem.

Its very encouraging that you were successfully able to fax from your end using the same modem (but a different firmware). Anything that I should look for?

Thanks again.
Joe.
