[hylafax-users] No carrier detected

Hylafax has been working great for me.

I've tried sending a fax to a number, but I get a "No Carrier Detected" error. The destination number has a different area code (435) than the calling number (801). But, the destination number is a local number. So, I need not prepend "1" before the number.

Also, the destination number accepts the call only after 5 rings (I checked this out by dialing the destination number from my telephone). Could that be a problem? Do I need to change my settings to accommodate a slow answering fax machine?

Thanks for your help.
Joe.
