Re: [hylafax-users] ISA faxboards (GAMMAFAX)

Hi,

I don't know of any GammaFAX boards which will work with HylaFAX. GammaFAX boards are not FAX modems. They are complete soft FAX machines, with a proprietary interface to the PC. I don't think Dialogic ever produced drivers for Linux, though older drivers existed for other Unix like systems. I think recently they have only supported Windows.

Regards,
Steve

Hello,
we have two GAMMAFAX boards on a PC equipped with a Windows based fax program.
Now we would like to switch to hylafax (we have already tested it with a simple serial modem), but we don't want trow away our existing hardware; so here are my questions:

    * what is the device used to address ISA boards? For serial ports
      we have ttyS0, ttyS1...
    * are there examples of succesful use of GAMMAFAX boards with hylafax?

Many thanks.
