I haven't had a chance to play on OSX yet, but I believe that they don't
use a password file (/etc/passwd) type setup, but their "lookup" daemon
does it. Really, what the installation is trying to to is make sure a
"uucp" user exists. You will have to create this the way Mac OSX
creates all it's other accounts. faxsetup has a primitive way of
looking for this user (grep from /etc/passwd) which fails on their OSX
setup. You might have to disable some of the user checking in faxsetup.
A patch would be lovely, and if it handles everything, probably
integrated.
