Re: [hylafax-users] Regarding ISDN & HylaFax

Hi Axel,

Thanks for the assistance so far. As mentioned, i am relatively new to ISDN and its terminologies.
2 more questions for your digestion... :) I'll really appreciate the help of other Hylafax users as well !!

1)What kind of device is a "SIEMENS HIPATH TK" ?? (Pardon me for asking as this is not really a HylaFax related question) Is it a ISDN modem ?? My understanding was that i could plug in the RJ45 cable connectors right into the PCI ISDN Controller cards and that the PCI card would handle the conversion of digital<=>analog signals.. Pls correct me if i am wrong.

2) What if i install 4 ISDN AVM C4s to get a thoroughput of 32 channels ? My main concern is that can HylaFax grow with the business demands, such that I do not have to do any tweaking or reconfiguration...
I used to run "Faxaddmodem" to add new modems 2 years back.. How to i tell Hylafax that i have got more channels availble in this case ?

I am sorry if i am being too long winded !! But i do hope you get my meaning.

Thank you very much!!

Sunil
