[hylafax-users] fax number gets repeated 10 times

here are my specs:

hylafax-4.2.0-1rhp (installed via rpm)
fedora core 1
libtiff-3.5.7-14

i have been using hylafax for more than 2 years now and have not had a 
problem until recently.  when trying to send a fax, the fax number gets 
repeated 10 times.  of course, the fax won't go through and i receive a 
'no carrier detected' message.  here's what i'm getting in 
/var/log/messages:

FaxSend[31256]: SEND FAX: JOB 138 DEST

i searched the list archives with the string 'destination number repeated 
10 times' but didn't find any similar matches.  has anyone experienced 
this?  i'm unable to send any faxes at all because every time i'm 
receiving this message.  it just started happening out of the blue, and 
for the life of me i can't figure out why.
