[hylafax-users] AW: Hylafax very unstable

Title: AW: [hylafax-users] Hylafax very unstable

Hi Lee,

Yes, that's exactly what I mean: I turned off the receiver machine in the middle of a fax. Here's a session log. Note especially what happened at 17:25:34.21 and at 17:49:02.86: At these 2 moments, the modem was totally stuck and didn't answer any more, so I tried to talk to it via minicom. When I launched minicom, in the first case, I saw the <timeout> messages appear in the logs, but minicom didn't display the usual AT/OK conversation. But I think that attempting to send this AT, or just trying to access the device did the trick. Even more funny: I really wanted to see a SESSION END in my logs, because that's what I'm expecting for a session to end clean. But it still wouldn't appear. So I launched minicom again, but unlike the first time, it didn't actually launch (crashed?); but the effect was that the SESSION END appeared in the logs. After that, if I opened minicom, everything was back to normal with the AT/OK conversation, so I knew now hell is over :)

Erich

What do you mean?  If someone turns off the receiver machine in the
middle of the fax?  Please send a session log.

Lee.
