^.^  Works, now.

One slight change:  Your script references /bin/sendfax, I use hyla 4.2  
which has sendfax in /usr/bin/sendfax.. just for future reference.

Is there anyway to get rid of the time to send in the Subj: line?  I'm not a 
perl hacker, so.. ;o)  My end goal is to have the user stick just a phone 
number in the Subj line -- when I tried it like that it bombed out, it 
expects the number|time|msg convention.

also, a symlink in /etc/smrsh to the faxgw script works (as opposed to 
copying the script).
