Re: [hylafax-users] CID number & Conceptronic C56EW

Hi again

I have try to modify my config.modem with:
    ModemResetCmds:       AT+VCID=1
    CIDNumber:            "NMBR="
    CIDName:              "NAME="

and there is no problem with hylafax starts... but when I am watching /var/log/messages to debug the results, I don't see the Caller Id from anywhere
Is it possible that CID is not parsing to hylafax if the modem is behind a PBX???

Regards

Hi list

I try to get CID numbers with a Conceptronic, model C56EW, to route incoming faxes.
Hylafax has an example with the parameter CIDName "For example, for the ZyXEL U-1496 this parameter would be set to ``CALLER NAME: `' (note the trailing space)" , but I don't know what parameter is the right to Conceptronic modem.

My telephone line supports CID

Anyone can help me?

Your modem manual should say how to 1) enable caller id, and 2) identify the caller id responses.

If the manual doesn't, then you'll need to figure it out through debugging methods with faxgetty or perhaps minicom.
