Re: [hylafax-users] METAMAIL IS NEEDED

Thank's
It's working (well - only this part)

My problem now is /dev/tty???
It means:
Hylafax is running, but can't find the modem (winmodem)

With
lspci -v

I see that the modem is there:
00:07.0 Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem (rev 02)
        Subsystem: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
        Memory at dfffbf00 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256]
        I/O ports at d400 [size=8]
        I/O ports at d000 [size=256]
Capabilities: [f8] Power Management version 2

With
lspci -vv

I see that is running:

00:07.0 Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem (rev 02)
        Subsystem: Lucent Microelectronics LT WinModem
        Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B-
        Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
        Latency: 64 (63000ns min, 3500ns max)
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 10
        Region 0: Memory at dfffbf00 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256]
        Region 1: I/O ports at d400 [size=8]
        Region 2: I/O ports at d000 [size=256]
Capabilities: [f8] Power Management version 2
                Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold-)
                Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-

But I don't know

where is it, or how to set it.

Hi,

I don't know if you got this working. If not here is the binary RPM and SRPM for
metamail I've used on FC1 and FC2. It was pulled from the Fedora legacy site.

This should work for RH9 as well.

Hope this helps,
