Does the $70 fax machine allow you to fax from word processors and receive
faxes via email?

If no, then that's the difference, users have to print and then going to
fax; the same for receiving paper, paper, paper :-)

If yes, then difficulty installing driver on an user pc is the same of
installing HylaFAX clients.
