[hylafax-users] Beware TeleZapper

Beware that sending to a fax machine with a TeleZapper can cause mysterious send-fax failures like this one:

Apr 17 00:49:28.26: [ 2837]: DIAL 4165551234
Apr 17 00:49:28.26: [ 2837]: <-- [15:ATDT4165551234\r]
Apr 17 00:49:48.00: [ 2837]: --> [5:ERROR]

The problem is not HylaFAX but the modem. Once the remote fax machine answers, the TeleZapper will send its tone sequence and fool your modem into thinking that there is no valid carrier. Then HylaFAX hangs up.

HylaFAX tries to send the fax again later, and may eventually succeed if the modem does not always return an error condition upon receiving the TeleZapper tones.
