Re: [hylafax-users] Routing received faxes

Hi All

I read and still don't understand. Can I use an example...

As a company we have 2000 users that will use their system for sending and receiving  faxes. They would all give one Fax Number to their customers. Now my problem is when these customers starts faxing back. Who gets what.

I know other faxing software uses unique numbers for example 0867 000001 which would then be linked to an alias for a specific user name user@xxxxxxxxxxx in a Global database and forward the message to that specific user.

For this I would have to apply for a pool of numbers from my Telco and they would forward all incoming calls matching this pool to one central exchange...

I think this is how it works

See 'man faxrcvd'.

The decision is made based on something like receiving device, Caller

ID, TSI, DID, SUB, etc.
