That's interesting, I hacked faxrcvd and some php to do almost exactly
that, yesterday.
Is there any chance you could post your changes/scripts?

It occurs to me that between the different HylaFAX users, there must be
a huge wealth of customisations and hacked scripts.......might be worth
having a Wiki or similar for people to share them?

Yes, having the fax passed to a shell script is fantastic :)
