I thought someone else had responded to this.
Editing hyla.conf is the right start. You should then be able to get away with just bouncing hfaxd but if that doesn't work try bouncing faxq as well. Remember to re-run the faxmodem commands if you are using a send-only environment.
Just as a silly one... if this still doesn't work - are you sure that you mail is set up correctly ? It may be trying to notify you and the emails are going into a black hole...

Since no one has responded to my question in a couple weeks, It must be
the wrong question. I'll ask different ones.
What are the ways to set the notification of send faxes--Notify being
one? In which configuration files might I find ways to control sending
notifications of sent faxes?
