[hylafax-users] mgetty not istalled (faxgetty stalls)
I'm running HylaFax 4.1.8 on RedHat 9.0; USR 56K.
Yesterday I had a problem receiving faxes. When I checked the system log
here is what it looks like:
Feb 25 16:16:14 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: MODEM U.S. ROBOTICS 56K FAX /
Feb 25 16:34:14 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: ANSWER: Ring detected without
successful handshake
Feb 25 16:34:29 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: MODEM U.S. ROBOTICS 56K FAX /
Feb 25 16:38:25 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: ANSWER: DATA CONNECTION
Feb 25 16:38:25 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: GETTY: START "/sbin/mgetty -h
/dev/ttyS1 dx_19200", pid 4571
Feb 25 16:38:25 faxserver FaxGetty[3040]: GETTY: exit status 077400
but there is no /sbin/mgetty on the faxserver. Then I thought of installing
mgetty-1.1.30-2.i386.rpm. rpm -qpl shows that mgetty+sendfax will be
installed but I read in the docs that mgetty+sendfax don't work with
HylaFax.
What should I do?
BTW I want to accept 'fax' calls only, no 'data' calls.
Below is the config.ttyS1 file.
Thanks in advance,
Yidnek
