[hylafax-users] Warning: Font metric information files were not found!

I'm trying to start fresh on a Debian Woody (3) Linux box. I'm getting 
warnings after installing 4.1.8 from source. Previously I removed 4.1.1 
binary.

At first the directory /usr/share/ghostscript/common does not exist. I 
uninstalled gs binary and reinstalled it. That appeared to help.

I did faxsetup and faxmodem again to make sure the 4.1.8 settings were 
in place.

When I tried to use sendfax and get the font metric error.

Someone suggested that his was a faxuser issue, but I have a 
hosts.hfaxd file with my username in it.

Something is not in the correct place, I think.
