Re: [hylafax-users] Sending on multiple channels of AVM C4 card

My config.faxCAPI is as follows

SpoolDir:               /var/spool/hylafax
FaxRcvdCmd:             /var/spool/hylafax/bin/faxrcvd
FaxReceiveUser:         uucp
LogFile:                /tmp/capifaxlog.txt
LogTraceLevel:          4
LogFileMode:            0644
{
    HylafaxDeviceName:          faxCAPI
    RecvFileMode:               0664
    FAXNumber:                  +27.86.121.2305
    LocalIdentifier:            "ADT Cape Town"
    OutgoingController:         2
    OutgoingMSN:                ""
    SuppressMSN:                1
    UseISDNFaxService:          0
    RingingDuration:            0
    NumberPrefix:
    {
        Controller:             1
        AcceptSpeech:           1
        UseDDI:                 0
        DDIOffset:              0
        DDILength:              0
        IncomingMSNs:
"8758","8759","8760","7935","7966","8754","8770"
        PolledRetrievalEnabled: 1
    }
}

You have to create at least one {Controller: ...} part for each Controller of the C4 (resulting in 8 of this).
If you want to use this controllers as multiple modems with HylaFAX there have to be multiple {HylafaxDeviceName ...} parts.

Look in the capi4hylafax-installdir, there should be a sample file for a C4-Controller.

I have created a second file config.faxCAPI1. This seemed to spawn a second c3faxsend process, but this process never successfully sent a fax.

... because it found no device with the name "faxCAPI1" in the config.faxCAPI.
Don't create them manually. You only need one config.faxCAPI and c2faxrecv creates at its start as many links to it, as there are HylafaxDevices defined, named config.[HylafaxDeviceName]. These are interpreted by HylaFAX as separate modems.
