I use both RocketModems and RocketModem IIs.  I run them all in Class 1 
and they work quite well.  I don't really see the point of having other 
modems with the RocketModem if you need 5 ports since RocketModems do 
have 8-port configurations.  If expense is the problem, well, used ones 
can be picked up fairly inexpensively these days.

The only downside to them is that they're not flash-upgradable.  So if 
a Class 1 flaw is ever found (not likely at this point), then you'd 
have to learn to live with it, work around it, or replace it.
