Go into /var/spool/hylafax/bin, are the files (ie ps2fax) executable?
Look into ps2fax, it's a shell script, try running it directly and see if
you get a tif file from a ps file; you have to run it from within
/var/spool/hylafax, ie: bin/ps2fax ......
