[hylafax-users] Modem classes

I'm new to Hylafax

Hylafax needs to know which classes a modem can use, for configuration
of 'faxaddmodem'.
My laptop uses a 'winmodem', a Conexant HSF PCI modem.
I have the correct linux drivers.
The 'faxaddmodem' probe shows it's a "class 0" modem.

From what I can gather classes 1 and 2 are fax compatible, but class 0
isn't.

Is there any way of forcing Hylafax to use class 0, or do I need a
proper hardware modem to get this going?

Thanks, and apologies for what might seem a basic question.

Joe
