Re: [hylafax-users] DID

To sumize, im not familiar with the Hylafax way of doing things.... I;ve got
a redhat 8 box with a eicon 30, which will be chucked into a DID compat
trunk. Ive installed the cards and drivers etc.... used the add modem script
to about 8 of the virtual tty's, and I was a bit lost as to the next step...
Im going to go away and read the man pages, I was hoping to find a nice
howto on it, however it seems Ill have to do it via man pages.... no biggie.

Cheers for the pointer

Mat

I'm not quite sure what you want to know. All of the information on
utilizing DID is in the "docs" (the 'man' pages).

You have faxgetty catch the DID digits just as you would have it catch
CID information. You configure it exactly the same way, by setting up
QualifyCID and either CIDName or CIDNumber (or both) in your config
file. Then you route by CIDName or CIDNumber in faxrcvd (FaxDispatch).

'man cid', 'man hylafax-config', and 'man faxrcvd' should get you there.

I'm happy to help, just I don't know *what* you're having problems with.

Lee.
