to get it to behave as top-left i still had to modify /var/spool/hylafax/bin
line with some extra stuff.  i could however have installed an old version
as i am an .rpm man not a compile from source man unless i really have to.  

             $TIFF2PS -pa1 -w8.27 -h11.69 -O $FILE.ps $FILE 2>/dev/null #
fax2p$
#            $PS2PDF -g$GW\x$GL -r$RW\x$RL $FILE.ps $FILE.pdf 2>/dev/null
             $PS2PDF -sPAPERSIZE=a4 $FILE.ps $FILE.pdf 2>/dev/null


i also always want A4 so i got rid off all that fancy size stuff and said
gimme A4.  :)

tiff2ps is a libtiff utility, and John's work is now in libtiff 
sources... I think it was first released with 3.6.0
