[hylafax-users] Perle PCI-RAS 4; Unable to send faxes; no response to EOP repeated 3 times

Hi,

I have the following setup:

Intel Pentium II, 256mb, 40gb hd
2 onboard com ports with external tornado modems
1 NetMos PCI card with 2 com ports with eTech modems
1 Perle PCI-RAS 4 (4 comports + onboard modems)
In total: 8 faxmodems.

I'm running HylaFax 4.1.5 on Linux slackware 8.1. The 'normal' com ports
are on /dev/tts/0 to /dev/tts/3 and the Perle faxmodems are on
/dev/tts/4 to /dev/tts/7. Minicom works fine with any of these ports.

Hylafax in combination with the four external modems are working ok.

Unfortunately, a fax sent with the Perle card will fail (See log file)
The (normal) fax machine on the other end will print the fax, but it
looks like garbage.

I don't get the following lines:

It doesn't matter if I specify -1 of -2 as sendfax parameters. It will
listen to the -m parameter though (not supplied here).

I've tried both Class 2 and 1. I've tried other destinations, all will
report communication problems and print garbage.
I've also tried several config files (config/class2,
config/rockwell-k56, etc). But all will show the same problem.

When I tried the Perle card in a Windows XP machine with some random
shareware fax program (PrimaFax Pro iirc) everything works flawlessly
(both with class 2 and 1). So the Perle card is definately capable of
sending faxes using class 2. Unfortunately the fax program is unable to
create logfiles, so I can't see the AT codes sent to the Perle card.

I've updated the firmware of the modems on the Perle card to the latest
version (V3.400-V90_2M_DLS, 56K V.90 Version 3.4)


Somebody any ideas?
