Many Mulitech modems are SCO certified and feature Lucent 
chipsets. Lucent was spun off AT&T, which practically invented 
Unix. At one of my past employers, we also found their technical 
support and RMA people to be service oriented when we had some 
trouble with an 8-port modem and one of their MUXes.

But I never could get the Multitech to work with Windows 2000, 
although it has done fine with XP and 98.
