Re: [hylafax-users] Set-up on Mac OS X...

Hi Chris,

Yes I have the /etc/service entry:

fax 4557/tcp #FAX transmission service
hylafax 4559/tcp #HylaFAX client-server protocol

Ok...

I went into /var/spool/hylafax/etc/

[jake:spool/hylafax/etc] admin# ls -al
total 144
drwxr-xr-x 15 uucp uucp 510 Feb 7 08:28 .

I changed the config.tty.modem file to config.cu.modem

I also copied hosts.hfaxd to /etc/ just incase. These read:

localhost
127.0.0.1
admin

I am the admin user.

I re-booted:

[jake:~] admin% ps -aux | grep fax
uucp 201 0.0 0.1 1784 416 ?? Ss 8:37AM 0:00.01
/usr/local/sbin/faxq
uucp 204 0.0 0.1 1860 256 ?? Ss 8:37AM 0:00.02
/usr/local/sbin/hfaxd -i hylafax
uucp 414 0.0 0.1 1892 560 ?? S 8:37AM 0:00.07
/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty cu.modem
admin 501 0.0 0.0 1116 4 std R+ 8:41AM 0:00.00 grep
fax
[jake:~] admin% /usr/local/bin/faxstat
Service not available, remote server closed connection

hylafax is running but still response from faxstat.

I am running hylafax on my localhost which is also where I am running
faxstat. I am running the whole show on a dual-usb new style iBook if
that helps.
