[hylafax-users] Received faxes are roughly half the vertical size.

Sending faxes works like a charm, but when I receive a fax the vertical
size is about half of what it should be; the fax is "squished."

I'm running a custom-compiled (ie. not RPM) 4.1.5 on RedHat 7.3, x86
architecture.  The modem is a U.S. Sportster 56k.

I looked up the FAQ entries:

But the hints (adjust flow control) made no difference and I don't think
it is my image viewer, as I am using Gimp (I also checked with gqview)
under Linux.
