[hylafax-users] late email confirmation of in/out faxes

hello
for the last couple of days i have noticed that while the faxes have been printing out no emails of in/out faxes have been recieved.

however, they begin to be sent out from the server whenever i sit on the pc to check the status.

btw, i set up kmail to forward faxes from user "fax" to a user a/c on the pc to co-workers email a/c. is there a better solution?

also i have faxgetty as a background process. and finally am not sure if i using postfix or sendmail as my mail server :(

as to power management, i believe but cannot say for certain that it is disabled. the os is linux mandrake 9.0i586 with an external fax/modem.
