[hylafax-users] Modem detecting distinctive rings...

 Hi,

I have a Modular Technologies MD566X data/voice/fax modem and I have been using minicom to monitor its responses to being called from the 2 numbers I have attached to my phone line...

Now if I have 'distinctive ring' turned off (AT+VDR=0,0) then all i get is:

RING

RING

RING

->no matter which number I use. If however, I turn it on with (AT+VDR=1, 25) - the second number is the delay in ms between the DROF message and the ring message - I get:

DRON=4
DROF=2

RING

DRON=4
DROF=20

RING

->on the first number and

DRON=10
DROF=20

RING

DRON=10
DROF=20

RING

->on the second number...

Now I believed that the modem should report RING1 with the first ringtone and RING2 with the second... so that progs like Hylafax know which one's which!! I can't see any other reference in the modem manual to this, so does anyone have an idea what to do????

Many thanks, Graham..
