Re: [hylafax-users] Dual Fax Server with HylaFax ? ...

Hans,

I do not know about the outgoing, but the incoming is easy. You need to
set up your /etc/FaxDispatch to be by modem, example;

case "$DEVICE" in
ttyS0)      SENDTO=you@email.address;      FILETYPE=pdf;;
ttyS1)      SENDTO=them@email.address;     FILETYPE=tif;;
esac

I would like to know about the outgoing ones if anybody messages you
personally.

Thanks,

Tony.

Subject: [hylafax-users] Dual Fax Server with HylaFax ? ...

All,

I am new to HylaFax and have been studying the HylaFax site and the
HylaFax
documentation for the last couple of days looking for answers to achieve
the
following:

I need to set up one fax server for two entirely separate organisations
using the same infrastructure, but using separate fax lines. I've read
that
multiple modems per fax server is possible and inbound faxes can be
redirected according to the actual device which received the fax. --
excellent --

On the other hand, when sending faxes from the respective Windows
clients of
both organisations, I need to make sure that faxes sent to the server
from
one group of clients end up being pushed by one modem, and faxes from
the
other group of clients end up begin pushed by the other modem. This is
because both organisations will not be amused when they find themselves
paying for the other party's outbound fax traffic and vice versa.

Experiences from anyone who has already done this are most welcome as
well
as any suggestion that will point me in the right direction. Maybe I've
overlooked something in the doco ?

Kind Regards,
Hans Vledder
The Netherlands
