Guilio,

Can you characterize the problem a little better for us? Is it reproducible?
If so, can you email me privately the output of 'strace' on the PID of a
faxgetty which is consuming "much cpu time"?

Until we've been able to look into this in greater detail, it seems
appropriate to recommend that folks DO NOT install the 4.1.4 release on
production systems. We'll post a message here when we know more.
