Ah you're right - I'm looking at the wrong line.

If we're not getting some info from the sender that imples that the
sender's machine is doing something bad.  However, the exact same fax
machine, can send without trouble to our brand new Brother 7400C and our
ancient, decaying HP.  I would think a misbehaving remote end would
fail there as well?

(On a seperate note - is there a web page that contains some material
about the technical side of sending a fax?  I don't really have a good
grip on the mechanics of sending a fax)
