Not yet, while installing I read that for a send-only box the only thing
you need is faxmodem. I've just read that you can run faxgetty with
special settings. I am going to switch to that I think.

Just did so, the messages I got were:

Hm - I was able to send a PDF without getting the error (and without
getting the taglines too) - The LocalIdentifier was displayed on the
receiving machine.
In addition I've noted that it did not replace the "Number of pages:"
value this time on the faxcover. Which it did while faxing a textfile?
