I used compaq testdrive to compile whfc on their w2k server.
changed in FaxClient.cpp
    s = Replace(stdsettings.Comments,'\n',' ');
to
    s = Replace(stdsettings.Comments,'\r',' ');
and now it works as expected (lines properly aligned).
