Title:

All we are waiting for modem to come ready ....... 
Which kind of bug is it ? 
My Hylafax server is working on RedHat 7.3 and the Hylafax version is 4.1.2. 
Hylafax is able to receive fax but always when I send a fax or find line
 busy or remove 
a fax  with faxrm the modem doesn't come ready . 
I'm using a u.s. robotics 56k faxmodem external v92 v90. 
To make it ready I can only restart all hylafax services. 
Modem is only for faxes. 
Mgetty isn't installed. 
Internet connection is trought a router with locally  intranet dns .

Why nobody describe something about the trouble

of faxgetty and respawning too fast ?

Why flag -D can't work in /etc/inittab ?

What's the right way to use hylafax with one modem

     only
and detach faxgetty automatically from    ttyS*.
