Re: [hylafax-users] modem is wedged?

Ok, I didn't get the same error message again (modem is wedged), but
everything else was the same. Jobs not going through, and gfax showing a
particular job as being sent for hours.

Here is the log from the job that hung

Jul 02 10:34:25.79: [ 3157]: SEND 2D RTC
Jul 02 10:34:25.79: [ 3157]: <-- data [30]
Jul 02 10:34:25.79: [ 3157]: <-- data [2]
Jul 02 10:34:25.80: [ 3157]: SEND end page
Jul 02 10:34:28.11: [ 3157]: --> [2:OK]
Jul 02 10:34:28.11: [ 3157]: <-- [9:AT+FTS=9\r]
Jul 02 10:34:32.99: [ 3157]: --> [5:ERROR]
Jul 02 10:34:32.99: [ 3157]: MODEM Command error
Jul 02 10:34:32.99: [ 3157]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r]
Jul 02 10:34:33.41: [ 3157]: --> [10:NO CARRIER]
Jul 02 10:34:33.41: [ 3157]: <-- [5:ATH0\r]
Jul 02 10:34:38.41: [ 3157]: MODEM <Timeout>

I turned on the logging, what messages should I email out? I'm not very
familiar with log messages (not a lot of experience on unix). The only
reference to faxgetty in the same general timespan as the error is

Jul 2 09:57:57 blanca FaxGetty[1089]: ANSWER: Can not lock modem device

But, around the same time as the error, from the job (537), I found

Jul  2 10:33:11 blanca FaxQueuer[1032]: JOB 537 (active dest +12024566021
pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:35:50): PREPARE DONE
Jul  2 10:33:11 blanca FaxQueuer[1032]: JOB 537 (active dest +12024566021
pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:35:50): CMD START /usr/sbin/faxsend -m modem
sendq/q537 (PID 3157)
Jul  2 10:33:22 blanca FaxSend[3157]: MODEM NUVO 9624PFX/E.C.  Version : 7.1
Date code 921118
Jul  2 10:33:23 blanca FaxSend[3157]: SEND FAX: JOB 537 DEST 12024566021
COMMID 00000631 DEVICE '/dev/modem'

Is there anything else in particular I should look for? Any ideas what is
going wrong?

Thanks,
Erick
